Extending the capabilities of GitHub Copilot in your personal account

You can add additional functionality to Copilot in your personal account, by installing certain GitHub Apps from GitHub Marketplace.

About GitHub Copilot 扩展 for your personal account

Anyone can install Copilot 扩展 for their personal account, but you must set up Copilot 免费版, or have an active Copilot 专业版 or Copilot Pro+ plan, to use a Copilot 扩展 you install.

If you have access to Copilot through a Copilot Business or Copilot Enterprise plan, Copilot 扩展 are installed by organization owners at the organization level, and you do not need to install the extension on your personal account. To start using Copilot 扩展 installed in your organization, see Using extensions to integrate external tools with Copilot Chat.

You can also create your own custom Copilot 扩展 for your personal account. For more information, see About building Copilot Extensions.

Installing GitHub Copilot 扩展 for your personal account

  1. Open GitHub Marketplace.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Copilot.
  3. In the list of Copilot 扩展, locate an app you'd like to install.
  4. To install the Copilot 扩展 on your personal account, see 通过 GitHub 市场安装 GitHub App 以用于个人帐户.
