Extending the capabilities of GitHub Copilot in your personal account

You can add additional functionality to Copilot in your personal account, by installing certain GitHub Apps from GitHub Marketplace.

Anyone can install Copilot ํ™•์žฅ for their personal account, but you must set up Copilot Free, or have an active Copilot Pro or Copilot Pro(ํ”„๋กœ)+ plan, to use a Copilot ํ™•์žฅ you install.

If you have access to Copilot through a Copilot Business or Copilot Enterprise plan, Copilot ํ™•์žฅ are installed by organization owners at the organization level, and you do not need to install the extension on your personal account. Installing GitHub Copilot ํ™•์žฅ for your personal account

  1. Open GitHub Marketplace.
  2. In the left sidebar, click Copilot.
  3. In the list of Copilot ํ™•์žฅ, locate an app you'd like to install.
