Delete a group
Which user management experience do you have?
Go to Atlassian Administration. Select your organization if you have more than one. You can identify which user management experience you have by checking where your Users page is located.

Delete a group when you no longer need to manage app access or permissions for a subset of users together. This doesn’t remove the users from your organization.
Before you delete a group, check if the group is used to configure permissions in any of your apps. If it is, and users in the group still need these permissions, don’t delete the group. If users don’t need these permissions anymore, consider removing all permissions from this group before you delete it. This prevents any permissions from being automatically assigned in an app if a group is created with this name again.
You can’t delete a group if it’s a default group for a role.

To delete a group:
Go to Atlassian Administration. Select your organization if you have more than one.
Select Directory > Groups.
Select the group you want to delete.
Select the more actions icon (•••) next to Add group members.
Select Delete group.
Confirm that you want to delete this group, then select Delete group.
You can automate this process with the Delete group API.

To delete a group:
Go to admin.atlassian.com. Select your organization if you have more than one.
Select the site's name and URL to open the Admin for that site, then select Groups.
Select the group you want to delete.
Select the more actions icon (•••) next to Add group members.
Select Delete group.
Confirm that you want to delete this group, then select Delete group.
