Link and unlink Confluence spaces on a different site

This article provides instructions on how to link and unlink Confluence spaces on a different site to your service project.

Before you begin

Before you begin to link or unlink Confluence spaces, you need to:

  • Check if you’re a project admin of the project where you want to link spaces.

  • Check if you’re a Confluence space admin of the space to be linked.

To link a space, from a different Confluence site within your organization, to your service project:

  1. From your project, go to Project settings, select Channels & self service, and then select Knowledge base.

  2. Select Add knowledge.

  3. Select Confluence as your knowledge source.

  4. Select a site of your choice.

  5. Select the space you want to link to your project.

  6. Select Link.

You can link Confluence spaces on only one site per project at a given time. If you wish to select a different site within your organization, you’ll first need to unlink the spaces you’ve linked, and then continue the process of linking spaces.

You can link up to 20 spaces for a given project.

To unlink a space from your service project:

  1. From your project, go to Project settings, and then select Knowledge base.

  2. Find the space from the list of your linked spaces and select Unlink.

  3. Select Unlink to confirm.

Unlinking spaces only removes them from your service project. These spaces will still be available in Confluence.
