Customize the workflow for bugs

When you use the customer service management project template, you’ll automatically get the bug work type, which you can customize. For example, you might want to add steps that make sure the right people approve requests, or to make sure that someone confirms that work items are done.

Customize the workflow for bugs

You must be a Jira administrator to customize workflows.

To customize your workflow:

  1. Go to Settings () > Work items > Workflows.

  2. Find Jira Service Management default workflow, then select Edit.

  3. Use the workflow editor to add or remove steps and transitions.

Changes to workflows affect all projects that use the workflow.
